Hey everyone, college has been demanding lately, sorry for not posting for a week! I've been working to get all of my PHP work done so I won't have to worry about that class for the rest of the semester! It would help if our teacher would start lecturing again, but apparently he thinks it's a waste of time and doesn't care any more. Whatever though...I self-taught myself how to create a working Twine Story (which you can check out here: http://www.philome.la/AmaltheaSnow/lost-in-the-mirror-world), so I'll figure the rest of PHP out. If y'all decide to play the Twine game, don't select the credit link because I forgot to code a way back to the start page and I'm not sure how to fix it in the uploaded version. That reminds me, I'm almost done with another Twine Story called Finding the Lost Ones! Unlike Lost in the Mirror World, this Twine Story has RPG-style combat in it! I should be done with it before the end of this month, so keep an eye out for it!

My books are coming along nicely; I've been editing Journey of the Lone Star to make it longer and I'm really excited with an additional plot element I added to the series after touring the cave at the Inner Space Cavern last weekend! This new element plays a big role in the story; I'm excited! A lot of the questions that have been circling my brain have been answered with this new element! Hopefully this will help the novel be longer than 209 pages. The goal is at least 300 pages, who believes I can top it!? Let me know in the comments!!!

Hey everyone, sorry for not posting for almost two weeks. I've been really busy with college and I'm so tired, I actually dozed off in the middle of doing homework a few days ago. There's a lot going on right now and honestly, I'm worn out - so I might not post daily for a while. Sorry if y'all are disappointed, but most of my time these past couple of weeks has been nothing but homework, homework, homework. I have no break on the weekends either - my part-time job has consumed my weekends ever since I applied for it three years back. I've barely had any time to write and reading is out of the question right now (I plan to remedy that this weekend).

Thankfully, I do not have work this weekend - I asked off because my family and I are going to San Antonio for the weekend. I need a break from work, so I'm glad we're going. I'll do my best to blog about our trip over the course of the weekend, but no promises! I have a bad habit of forgetting to do certain things and, unfortunately, this is one of those certain things.

Howdy y'all! Today has been tiring. Classes were pretty calm (we didn't go over anything new and we sat through a presentation during my second class). The reason I'm tired is because I haven't been home all day and my brothers were at each others' throats the entire time we were gone. Due to this and the fact I have to get up early (again) tomorrow, this post will be short.

I have actually worked on The House at the End of the Street a little bit. I'm still hanging in the first story (haha, you will understand why this is funny when the book comes out; I have a dark sense of humor), but at least my good man Wallie Garvish is actually exploring the house.

Hey everyone! Today was pretty crazy at work. I almost kicked these disrespectful kids out of Braums (they were being incredibly loud and when I told them they needed to quiet down, one of them blew a raspberry at my back). They only reason I didn't force them to leave is because it's Texas. It was 107 degrees outside and I didn't have the heart to make the kids stand outside in the scorching heat. I have been told to get a manager the next time something like that happens, so rude people beware. My manager isn't as nice as me; you blow a raspberry at her, she will make you leave no matter the weather. She's awesome and fun to work with, so I don't understand why people would be rude to her.

For those of you who might not quite understand why I told the kids off without first politely asking them to quiet down first (as is my usual course of action), there are two reasons: first off, my coworker had told them to stop running around and to quiet down multiple times before (she even had to take away the salt and pepper because they were dumping it on the table); the second reason is because I had to SHOUT to get those kids to hear me. I had asked this gentleman if he wanted me to clean his table and he said yes. He was trying to tell me something and I could not hear him over those kids. So, I shouted hey (I swear half the store must have heard me) and the kids looked at me wide-eyed. I told them to quiet down and was disrespected for it. What did the parents do? Nothing, at least until I walked away. Then, one of them went over to the table as if that was supposed to stop me from coming over and getting onto them a third time; I still would have gone over there and with my manager as well.

People, Braums isn't a playground; it's a restaurant and customers come in to eat and visit with people. It's the parents' job to reprimand their kids, not mine, but apparently parents just don't care. I can't tell y'all how many times I have had to get on to kids while the parents chatted away at a different table. If you're going to allow your kids to run around like wild hooligans, do not come in. I'm done being nice; disrespecting me is one thing, but disrespecting my coworkers, who work very hard to make customers happy, is what will get me riled up and you kicked out of the store. My parents always said I needed to grow a backbone; well I did today and if I see those kids--or any kids or customers--acting so rude and disrespectful again, I won't be so considerate of the weather outside; I will get my manager and you will be told to leave. This is my warning to y'all and me raging just a bit~!

In other news, I plan to buckle down and finish a book this month. My friend Josh has been working tremendously hard on the covers and they are beautiful~! I'm also considering re-writing Journey of the Lone Star; I feel like it needs to be longer (it's only 203 pages and that's counting all the pictures added in and the cover page). I might send it to a couple of friends and ask them if they think the book is too short; the length of my novel doesn't sit right with me. I feel like I need to make it longer; I have a couple of ideas of what to add at least. Don't worry, I'm not changing the ending; it's too perfect!
